Biography

 

Fernando Herrera is founding partner of Columbus Merchant Banking and worked in the Investment Banking Industry since 1992. Mr. Herrera was previously Senior Vice President of Citigroup/Citibank, N.A. While in Citibank, Mr. Herrera worked in the Corporate Finance for Citigroup Assets Team in Argentina, being responsible for the redeployment of the Corporate Restructuring Portfolio generated after the Argentine crisis. Prior to this position, Mr. Herrera was Equity Head in the Investment Banking Division of Citigroup in Argentina for five years, where he also was in charge of the origination of private equity transactions for Citigroup Venture Capital (“CVC”). During 1998 he worked in the Corporate Finance Team of Citibank/Citicorp in New York taking part in the structuring of securitization and structured finance products for Argentina. During 1992-1994 he worked on the organization of Citibank’s research unit and in the development of different capital market products.

 

Fernando Herrera holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). Mr. Herrera was a professor at the Masters in Finance at Universidad de San Andrés and in the Universidad de Buenos Aires and collaborator of the “Junior Achievement Program” and in the IAE’s NAVES Program.
